Bridging Cultural Gaps
November 9, 2023 Omaha, Nebraska – For the past few weeks, Aqua-Africa’s new Executive Director, Mabior Acouth, has been hosted by local Omaha, Nebraska USA schools and youth organizations to tell his immigrant story, and to provide an update on the organization’s clean water work in South Sudan.
Pictured below are presentations to St. Mary’s Middle School students in Bellevue, and to Norris Middle School Partnership 4 Kids after school program for bilingual students.
Mr. Acouth uses these speaking engagements to encourage youth continuation in math and science studies, and to create awareness of the free “Build a Hut” STEM summer camp that Aqua-Africa hosts in partnership with the 4-H each year.
