Tenth Water Tower Emerges

January 6, 2026 – Wenepai, South Sudan. Aqua-Africa’s vendor, Ruaha Drilling Company, arrived in Wenepai to begin construction of Aqua-Africa’s 10th Village Supplier Utility System. It is a system comprised of a 5,000 gallon galvanized steel water tower, nearly a mile of pipes, and at least 5 tap stands, that will provide clean accessible water from the aquifer to the farm community of 5,000 residents.

The implementation team met with the government’s Relief and Rehabilitation Commission and Village Chief to discuss the implementation schedule and community water collection points. Additionally they began layout of the tower’s foundation, unloading of sand and aggregates, and the welding of the manhole cover for protection of the well’s borehole.
