Towers Take Shape
June 1, 2023 – Maiwut, South Sudan. The construction of the first of four Village Supplier water towers in Maiwut was completed today. Concurrent with tower erection, our vendor CRN’s masons are constructing the tap-stands that will be supplied by the system.
Aqua-Africa’s Program Officer, Deng Madit, ventured to the top to capture a few photos. It was his first climb to 13 meters. According to Madit it was both frightening and exhilarating.
Aqua-Africa is exploring the implementation of water meters at each water point to measure the water output. This information will help the organization better understand water usage patterns in the community, and possible sites for future development based upon consumption needs.
